Disney has unveiled a teaser image of Halle Bailey, who plays Ariel in the live-action remake movie The Little Mermaid. In the post, Bailey shares his thoughts on Instagram about the Italian coast where the film was shot and his growth through production interrupted by the new coronavirus. In this image, Bailey is sitting on the beach, submerged in water, and appears to be wearing a mermaid suit on her lower body. For Bailey, making The Little Mermaid has come a long way. She was assigned a role in mid-2019, just as she was about to turn 19, but was partially delayed by a pandemic of the new coronavirus before filming resumed in the summer. In an Instagram post, Bailey said, “It was the most difficult experience I’ve ever known to get away from everything and everyone. Not only did I feel suspicious and lonely about myself, but at the end of the shoot. I also felt freedom and patience as I approached. This experience made me much stronger than I had ever thought. ” And in “The Little Mermaid,” Jacob Trenbray as Flounder, Awkwafina as Scuttle, Melissa McCarthy as the evil Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, and Daveed Diggs and Eric in “Hamilton” as Sebastian. Jonah Hauer-King will appear in the role of Prince. Disney also announced that it would feature lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda in addition to the new songs (including the original songs) by composer Alan Menken in the live-action film. At this point, the release date of the live-action movie is undecided.
