Digital payment service company Square has decided to develop a hardware wallet for Bitcoin. CEO Jack Dorsey said on July 8th. In early June, he said Square was considering developing a hardware wallet. Square’s Head of Hardware, Jesse Dorogusker, tweeted the decision first, and in a retweet, Dorsey wrote, “We’re doing it #Bitcoin.” A tweet by Dorogusker said: “We have decided to develop hardware wallets and services to make Bitcoin storage even more mainstream.” Square has already made it possible to buy and sell Bitcoin through the “Cash App” app, Dorsey said. He has actively expressed his support for Bitcoin. It has not been disclosed when the hardware wallet will be available.
