Daphne (Carolina Laspunti) with Down Syndrome lived peacefully with her parents while working in a supermarket. At the end of one summer, her mother, Maria, suddenly collapses at a campsite where she spends her family vacation and becomes a man who never returns. Despite his sadness, Daphne is cheerful and is supported by his colleagues and friends at work, and he regains his daily life. However, his old father, Luigi, is blocked by the loss of Maria, who supported her family as a mother and wife, and the anxiety about Daphne’s future after her death. Daphne proposes to his father a walking trip to the birthplace of his mother in Tuscany.
